From the Desk of Vince Ditrich
Vinyl Village is finally on the map!
After 25+ years in storage we have discovered a very small selection of LPs, some of which are exceedingly rare. As I’ve mentioned already, I do not have copies of these, nor does Hugh. In fact I would bet that only Geoff Kelly, musicologist and audiophile, has copies of these rare platters. They are doubly rare because they’re autographed by the whole group, which will appeal to our most dedicated fans, and perhaps a few serious collectors. A pretty surprising Xmas gift for someone!
These are the very last of the Whooping Cranes.
These items will be hand numbered, and will be accompanied by a hand-signed certificate of authenticity. Once this batch of original, 1st-run vinyl is sold-out, that will be it. This is your one and only chance to own this piece of ancient history.
Perhaps not as important as Ringo’s #1-of-4 Test Masters of the White Album, but almost as old!!!
First Up are LPs of ‘Go Figure’.
These have taken a circuitous journey around the world. No vinyl of Go Figure was ever printed or released in North America — these rarities are printed in Germany, for German release, and brought back to Canada in Janet Forsyth’s suitcase (she was our manager). They have been hidden in a box for a quarter century.
The LPs, original, first issue German vinyl, autographed by the whole current band, are going for $50 each, plus shipping & handling. A superb Xmas prezzie for that hard to please friend or cranky Uncle with the snooty musical tastes.
We plan to release additional titles over the next few days, one by one. So stay tuned to this space.

If you purchase before Xmas we will also include an autographed photo of ‘our final bow’ – a great colour shot of the band at the very moment they said good bye to their faithful fans at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver on April 16, 2016 – shot by our official photographer Adam PW Smith.
